Moore thoughts
I think because the media has been worse than useless throughout the whole debacle of the Iraq war (and through most of Howard's stewardship as well) that Michael Moore is seen as the main speaker of truth to power by the liberal west. Unfortunately he appears to be caught in the common trap of modern commentators: he's in love with his own image.
Another issue I have with Moore is, even though it appears to be a major source of corruption in the US, I doubt he will ever make a documentary that will expose the power of the religious right in the US, because of his own convictions. It is a noticeable absence from F9/11
All that being said (or written in this case) Moore is still one of the most important political critics the US has available. I just hope he isn't the only one.

Isaac Hayes Three Laws of Robotics
Had to share this: (from Engadget)
A robot must risk his neck for his brother man, and may not cop out when there’s danger all about.
A robot must be a sex machine to all the chicks, except where such actions conflict with the will of his main woman.
A robot must at all times strive to be one bad motha-shutchyomouth.

Not as bad as it seems
I was thinking today on the way to work, that things could be worse, we could be back in the Eighties. I don't know if you recall, but back then due to Ronald Reagan, there was the constant belief that thermonuclear war would break out between the US and the Soviets with the rest of the world caught in the middle.
Nowadays we just have to worry about localised explosions (the bio-warfare doesn't seem to have started yet)
The age of terrorism may have just started, but at least the age of nuclear annihilation seems to be in remission.
No doubt North Korea will prove me wrong.
