WE HAVE A NEW NIECE!
Gabrielle Rose Triffitt - born last night at 9:38pm.
No more details than that, but I think she's going to be a doctor.
YAY!!!!!!

Gabrielle was born weighing over 4kgs
It was an induced caesarian, poor Renate was in labour for three days! But both mother and baby are doing well.

Why Libraries Are Awesome
Russia returns "lost" silent movies to the US.
Note that they did a much better job of preserving them than the US did. Sometime the best thing you can do for your cultural artefacts is export them.
