Dan Curtis has died.

for those philistines amongst you who don't know who he is - he directed the first two Night Stalker telemovies.

And the Trilogy of Terror telemovie with the infamous Zuni doll.

Hate to go all credit-Nazi on you but Dan Curtis only produced the two Night Stalker movies. I know in Hollywood-speak that makes you the creator but that's another long-standing gripe of mine. (Like when Kevin Williamson wasn't allowed to use the credit 'from the creator of Scream' on promotions for 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' because he was only the guy who came up with the idea and wrote the film. The 'Created by' credit was reserve for everyone else from the executive producers on up to the director like when Dante's Peak was promoted as being from the creator of Terminator because Gale Anne Hurd was involved in both films.)

Night Stalker creator was Jeff Rice.
