Publicity for "Party Political"

Maybe it was because of the Oscars, maybe it was because of murasaki_1966's interview, but I did two publicity interviews for "Party Political" last night. One for the Inner-West Courier and one for the Village Voice (not the New York one, the local one.)

Hopefully I wasn't too inarticulate but it did make me aware of the need to not be so shy and retiring when promoting your work as a writer. ferkster and I have to get some good publicity shots done for the next show and probably need to stick up a website to give people access to them. There's already a website for Ferknerkle but we need one to promote our writing.

Unfortunately the Village Voice story won't be published until the end of the season, but it will be a good promotion for ferkster and I.

The hardest thing is to not say too much - you want to sell the product (in my case, a show, in your case, a novel) and you want to differentiate it enough from others like it without revealing too much of what makes it unique.
