Kerry Packer died this morning.

Thoughts of singing "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" are muted by questions such as:

- which dingbat politician will be the first to call for a state funeral?
- will Jamie Packer actually be allowed to be prosecuted further in the OneTel inquiry?
- and all you Star Trek fans should know (as alinta_thornton's ex-husband revealed) that KP was the one who insisted that Nine continue showing Drek (I mean Trek.) Who will champion Trek now?
- and are we now free to hunt Ray Martin for his pelt?

Ah, but remember Packer died once before already, and reckoned there was nothing there at all, just a big black nothing. Which is some people's idea of hell, of course.
