First Rehearsal for "Sit On My Facets"

Here's the cast, with Brett (co-writer - otherwise known as ferkster) on the left. Blazey Best next to him, Peter Flett, Darren Weller (the director), Chris Weekes and Ryan Johnson.

We have a great cast, and it was a great rehearsal. I'm so looking forward to Sunday night!

(I still can't believe we got Blazey Best! - the other casting news that was alluded to in a previous post was that Barry Otto was approached. Peter Flett is a more than adequate replacement.)

I saw Blazey Best play Cressida in Bell Shakespeare's Troilus and Cressida a few years ago. She was very good.

She still is very good. I saw her as Cressida, and also as Lady Anne in "Richard the Third". I was really excited to find she'd been cast in the play.

And she was marvellous in rehearsal - picked up the characters really quickly and refined the readings to bring out the jokes.

Ahhh, this is one of the great things about theatre, having someone like Blazey Best interpret your words.
