It is astonishing and who knows where it will lead. The thing that immediately flashed into my mind when I first heard of this was my old Sunday School teacher's confident assertion that the thing that separated us from God is that, no matter how clever we became, we could never create life.

D'oh.

I expect to hear of the impending collapse of organised religion any day now ;-)
