Found Treasure

So - to cut a long story short - a long time ago (the early 90s) I had to get rid of a lot of games and rpgs and things and a friend of a friend told me he could sell them on my behalf at conventions.

I think he managed to sell a couple of things, then we lost touch and time rolled on and I forgot completely about it.

Last week he contacted me via work e-mail, he was moving and found a box of stuff he was sure belonged to me, would I like it back?

Umm, Sure!

So I returned from lunch, and there was a large box (i.e. DVD player size) on my desk - and it's filled with old Dragon magazines (from the late 70s), RPG stuff, and old fantasy and SF games (like White Bear and Red Moon, Lords of the Middle Sea, Elric, Star Trek: The Adventure Game and the similar Tales of the Arabian Nights - recently reprinted.)

Dear God.

I guess I'm going to have to (finally) start clearing stuff through E-bay - unless anyone has any better ideas...

The new Tales of the Arabian Nights is not really a reprint, it's considerably expanded, and does not involve the trading game, and has combined the Quest game into the main game.

There are no "No encounters" any more and it's all in colour.

That said, the old game used to go for a LOT of money when it came up.

We'd certainly be interested in it, as our old copy's box is kind of dead...and the other games sound cool too. But you might be able to get a better price through Ebay although I have no real experience of that myself.

I think I tried the trading game once (in the old version.) Didn't work, so I can see why they cut it from the new version.

Ahh, that is of no interest to me.

(I"m not interested in commercial RPGs and should make more of an effort to get rid of the remnants I still have.)

You could just pass the entire box onto someone else for 10 or 15 years.

Eventually it will come back to you at a time when you want this stuff.

BTW I have about thirty boxes of books and comics I was wanting you to look after for 20 years)
