Opening night tonight

last night's dress rehearsal went well, but (as I remarked to Mal - the director) the last time I acted on stage was when my father was dying...

(I hope Mum's all right...)

Stop thinking like that, dammitt. And if you're really worried about your Mum, ring her. I love you sweetheart.

Break a leg (but, please, not literally).

Fracture a femur.

I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to get in to see you, alas.

You wouldn't say that if you saw the stairs up to this theatre......

God, I hope he doesn't. Do you know how long one of those takes to mend?

Good luck, and I'm sorry you have those associations. You will be fab, the play will be a hit and everyone will be very proud of you.

The Opening Night went well. The play would work better if it was further down the play order (it is the first play), but it seemed to go well. Iain has a completely different idea about it, of course.

Glad to hear it went well. We are always our own worst critics!

At least in a ten minute play, it's all over before the stage fright's had a chance to kick in!
