Thanks for the info. *sad* Without Quatermass, the modern TV SF scene would only be a shadow of what has actually eventuated.

He really was a trail blazer for someone who supposedly didn't want to be identified as a science fiction writer.
He also gave us one of the best haunted house stories ever televised: The Stone Tape.
