My girlfriend has the set of Eccleston and so I caught up with all those episodes I missed (a lot clearer than it would have been trying to watch the ABC on my TV anyway). I thoroughly enjoyed them and am finally disavowed of the notion that the Dalek Wars wasn't going to work. The Doctor a twat? Well yeah.. but that cocky self-assuredness is part of his charm "I can speak [shitloads of] languages" was good and the point where he risks Rose's life, betting on the fact that failing to surrender will confuse the single-minded Daleks. Wouldn't have him any other way.
