Scott Westerfield, perennial nice guy, gets a nice write up in Boing Boing. I've met Scott a couple of times and he's always been nice despite my geekstruck tendencies. I'm just struck by the number of good writers I actually know (not just Cat, Rob, Alinta [alintathornton], Deborah [deborahb], Chris [chrisbarnes], David and Kyla [ashamel and kylaw], the rest of the Thorbies, and not forgetting Kaaron Warren and benpeek, etc, etc.

And, of course, there's ferkster

I just need to finish and publish something worthy of their company, is all.
