Your deeply disturbing if true story for today

This showed up on my twitter feed, but I was unsure of its authenticity - after all there's only one story on Google News about it.
Anyway - I've delayed you for too long:
Pope Benedict XVI Suggests Pedophilia Was Acceptable in 1970s
Wow. Just wow.
(as for the age of consent in Vatican City being 12 - it seems more likely that it's actually 14 - the age of consent under the Italian criminal code.)
